The ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) characteristics of Baby Girl _ DH_M

Baby Girl _ DH_M was residing in Riyadh, KSA with her parents and two siblings. The NSFA consultant happened to be in Riyadh in September 2005. The consultant was visiting families and met some Parents there, finding Baby Girl _ DH_M and observed her with specific interest. He proposed to treat her. The Parents were amazed and agreed. To be mentioned that, during that period, ASD was not that much known issues in that part of the world and In KSA, it was very limited for the working families there to avail necessary supports.

Baby Girl _DH_M was at her 4 - years and 11 - months’ at the time NSFA Consultant met her The Baby Girl DH_N had severe ASD features.

  • Could not produce any words, simply will put her fingers in her mouth and run around.
  • Words were absent.
  • Presented poor eye contacts and very little engagements.
  • Had minimal locomotor capabilities.
  • No pencil gripping was possible by right hand as it was always at her mouth.
  • Hand - writing and drawing pictures were equally difficult.
  • Some flickering existence of child like senses amazed the NSFA consultant.
  • Could not try a try-cycle independently. Very little imitating or number sense.
  • Bed wetting was a regular phenomenon

NSFA consultant visited several times to the apartment of Baby Girl DH_M. He explained the process, and made it sure that the parents understand the process, struggle, and continuity. Till they were fully convinced. The parents were very supportive and agreed to undertake a long term treatment.

NSFA Steps:

After several interviews with the parents, and observing the Baby in Mall, home, and different situations with relatives, a constitutional plan was structured for her. An administration plan was developed. It was stated that the child will require several years to get to an optimum level of recovery through NSFA treatments.

IMPROVENT AS TREATMENTS CONTINUES

Baby Girl DH_M began to recover within 9th month of the treatment.

Significant development features were:

  • Detoxification worked ( First six months)
  • Dropped her finger sucking habit. (9th Month)
  • Took away her fingers from mouth completely (10-11 Month)
  • Eye contact improved significantly by 12th Month. (Up to 60%)
  • Vocal functions were added with emotions by 18 Month
  • The Baby started giving 3-4-word sentences within 3rd Cycle of treatment. (18th Month)
  • Developed understanding of all part of speeches of the sentence (30th Month)
  • Exhibited remarkable improvement within 7 cycles of treatment in her interactive behavior, intelligence level and started interacting better with friends and school.
  • Both parents tried their best to help the child with educational support, but facilities were not available or un-affordable
  • Finally, the family decided to move back in Dhaka, Bangladesh and the Girl could join specials school where she received some support but not very complete programs.

She is now a girl who hold lot of common sense, a very caring person, much social and interactive girl.

Unfortunately, Baby Girl DH_M was with not with any regular ABA/IBI therapy programs. She lacked proper occupational therapy and support.

·         You

Dear NSFA Consultant

Assalmu Alyka. I beg apology 100 times! for my delay in writing this email. I was too busy to finish some assignments within deadlines.

Here is some of my emotions regarding my dear Radiah.

While my 4 years daughter Radiah Baby Girl _DH_N was still facing hard to utter words, I was lucky to meet NSFA Consultant from Canada. He applied his Homeopathy/alternative medicine. By the grace of Allah his medicine and his wife's practical suggestions worked well. Radiah started making sentences with one, two, three now 4 words. "Baba, I am eating rice with curry"! She recites sentences of poem. Regular with her private tutor. The more she is mixing with kids and peoples the more she is picking words. NSFA Consultant's continuous efforts and timely medicine prescriptions are producing results.

I wish he continues his effort with other similar kids. Allah will reward him here and hereafter.

Dear NSFA Consultant,

Baby Girl _DH_M was born in 12th July 2000.

Baby Girl _DH_M is growing Mash Allah in terms of health and education as well. But her learning has some observations. Like MEMORIZATION of lessons, Recognition of various colors etc. Off course, she can write OA, AHH, etc. And 1 to 10 numbers.

Baby Girl _DH_M 's ATTENTION in school classes and private lessons increased but MEMORIZATION, RECOGNITION has not increased in the same pace. Example, as of today she is able to memorize numbers up to 40 (except 2/3 numbers). But if you ask her to find which number is what then she will be able to answer very few!

"Bed wetting". Almost every night she is found in bed wetting. During daytime frequent visitor in urinals/toilet.

Baby Girl _DH_M is very fast in learning SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR. Example when she goes with her mother in different parties and social or educational gatherings, she copies a lot of behaviors. Like, how to receive people, how to greet, how to address, how to command and control. All these she also imitates when she returns at home.

Once she talks some one, she remembers him/her, even their voices. Again, when they call over phone she can recognize the CALLER. IRONY is, she can't recognize color!!

Sentence preparation: Now a days she can prepare sentences with 4/5 words. Even more words. Off course, some of the words are not correctly uttered (like 4/5 years babies).

IGO Sometimes she tries to insist us to do some works, which she can also do! Example sometimes she calls us to prepare her bed or to fix her socks, which normally she does by herself. If we don't do she cries. We, off course try to avoid responding these types of IGOISMS.

Baby Girl _DH_M took her medicine last on, 7th March 2009.

We all are grateful to ALLAH for HIS mercy on Baby Girl _DH_M and us. We all remember also your and (Spouse of NSFA Consultant) efforts behind Baby Girl _DH_M . We hope and pray that ALLAH showers HIS blessings upon you all as reward.

We remain,

Baby Girl _DH_M , Parents and the family
